my thoughts about it?
the experience was definitely a ticklish one! we were bowled over with laughter when some of us just couldn't take the extreme ticklish sensations.... and just imagine the screams we had when a bigger fish (in the small fish pool) swam next to our legs! we were yelping away and raising our legs out of the pool at the same time..! we just didn't want our legs to be "attacked" by the big fish.. haha...
there were 3 pools - 2 with small fish and one with bigger ones (it has a signboard that claims "bigger fish, greater sensation"!) i didn't have the guts to try out the one with bigger fish, but many claim it was better than being nibbled on by the small fish... sighs, i forgot to take a pic of the bigger fish!
some information about the fish (taken from the qian hu brochure)
common name: doctor fish, nibble fish, kangal fish
scientific name: Garra Rufa
animal description:
helps in healing all kinds of skin diseases and skin disorders (including acne and blackheads! haha.. should try placing your face in the water!), the fish nibbles on the diseased skin so long until the upper skin layer is completely removed and at the same time secretes a small quantity of an enzyme which (supposedly) slows down skin renovation (i take it that it means skin renewal??) and so normalising the skin.
diet: omnivorous (they feed on algae and micoorganisms)
tank conditions: natural habitats range from 15 to 28 degree celsius and in hot pools of around 37 degree celsius
life span: 4 to 6 years
hmmm... interesting how people can actually discover the beneficial effects of this fish....
ok, here are the pics!

i don't really remember whose legs these are.. but they definitely aren't my legs..

another zoomed in pic... yeeks!

many fish on these legs cos' by then, most of us have decided we have had enough.. but this brave teacher continued on and so, all the fish starting crowding around her legs! haha..

no no.. this is not a close up pic of the doctor fish.. they are fish which have been tattooed and i thought it was kinda unique.. not sure if it hurts!
